Milan, February 22, 2007 - The Italian newspaper La Repubblica has published today a letter written by CONSOB and addressed to FASTWEB (Milan, MTAX: FWB) that the company received yesterday evening.
It is extremely surprising that a confidential document issued by CONSOB to a listed company is made available to a journalist within few hours from its drafting.
This fact is a further confirmation of the speculation currently affecting FASTWEB stock.
Following the legal actions addressed to CONSOB and to the Court of Milan that the company has started over the last few weeks, FASTWEB has instructed its lawyers to start a further legal action to ascertain hypothesis of stock market disturbance and unlawful disclosure of confidential information.
As far as the request to clarify a number of matters, the company has issued a cohemprensive press release this morning.
