Following the closing of the acquisition of Vodafone Italia by Swisscom Group on December 31, 2024, the integration process between Fastweb and Vodafone begins, aiming at the creation of a leading converged challenger in Italy.
Fastweb + Vodafone will unlock significant value for all stakeholders and will have the financial capacity to continue investing in infrastructures and innovation, benefiting the market, consumers, and businesses in Italy thanks to increased scale, a more efficient cost structure and annual run-rate synergies of about 600 million euros enabled by the integration. By combining Fastweb strengths in fixed connectivity with Vodafone Italia leading position in mobile services, Fastweb + Vodafone will offer innovative, competitively priced converged services to families, businesses and Public Administrations, supporting the digital transition of all customers.
With over 20 million mobile and 5.6 million fixed lines, Fastweb + Vodafone becomes the leading infrastructured operator in the Italian telecommunications market leveraging over 20.000 mobile radio sites and a proprietary fixed network of over 74.000 km, enabling mobile and wireline national coverage, 50% of which through FTTH.

Fastweb + Vodafone’s governance
With the official closing of the transaction, the integration process between Fastweb and Vodafone Italia begins. The two companies will be managed by a unified Executive Committee and will operate under the corporate brand Fastweb + Vodafone; the current brands, such as Fastweb, Vodafone, and ho., will continue to be used commercially. The new Corporate website fastwebvodafone.it is also online starting today.
The new Executive Committee is composed of Walter Renna (CEO), Anita Carra (Chief Brand & B2C Marketing Officer), Fabrizio Casati (Chief Wholesale Officer), Silvia Cassano (Chief Human Resources Officer), Elenia Cerchi (Chief Regulatory & Antitrust Officer), Antonio Corda (Chief Legal, Compliance & Security Officer), Lisa Di Feliciantonio (Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer), Augusto Di Genova (Chief B2B Officer), Peter Grueter (Chief Financial Officer), Alessandro Magnino (Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer) and Federico Negri (Chief B2C Commercial Officer).
The roles of Chief Technology Officer and Chief IT Officer will be carried out on an interim basis respectively by Mark Duesener, Head of the IT, Network & Infrastructure Operations Division and by John de Keijzer, Manager with an extensive experience in the IT field within the Swisscom Group.
