Milan, 15 July 2005 - FASTWEB is aware that Citigroup, by mean of a mail sent yesterday by Giancarlo Castelli to a number of investors, stated the following: "Telecom Italia has been able to gain some 20,000 clients from FASTWEB in the last few weeks."
Such statement, which has been reported without mentioning any source or providing any evidence, is absolutely not true.
Real figures are radically lower and Citigroup statement is misleading compared to the real situation.
FASTWEB will use any suitable remedy in order to protect its shareholders.
