FASTWEB closes Bank Financing for Nearly One Billion Euro

Interbanca SpA (Group Banca Antoniana Popolare Veneta) and Unicredit Banca Mobiliare - Ubm SpA (Group Unicredito Italiano) were the arrangers in a 955 million Euro medium-long term bank financing for FastWeb SpA, the telecommunications operator controlled by e.Biscom SpA (Milan Nuovo Mercato: EBI), which provides integrated voice, data and TV-on- Demand services over a fiber optic network. The two arrangers were also underwriters of the operation.

B2Biscom & Monte dei Paschi di Siena announce a partnership

MPSnet, the company in Italy's Monte dei Paschi di Siena banking group that provides digital services for business users, has signed an agreement with B2Biscom, the e.Biscom group company active in business-to-business e-commerce, to develop e-marketplaces through its portal. The agreement is part of the MPSnet strategy to focus on the development of services integrating technology and finance in order to encourage use of online markets and other digital services by the banking group's customers.

Agreement sealed between FASTWEB & Omnitel Vodafone

Omnitel Vodafone and FASTWEB - the e.Biscom Group's (Milan's Nuovo Mercato: EBI) broadband telecommunications company which offers integrated services using its own optical fibre infrastructure - have entered into an agreement that will, for the first time, allow the mobile operator to use a fixed-line, optical fibre infrastructure. This will provide Omnitel Vodafone with potentially unlimited transmission capacity and greater autonomy in implementing its network.
