Milan - 27th April 2016: Beni Stabili and Fastweb have agreed on the terms of a pre-let agreement in the Symbiosis area. Beni Stabili will build in the new office district of Symbiosis in Milan the headquarter of Fastweb.
Fastweb, the largest alternative fixed-line telecommunications provider in Italy, decided to move the headquarter in a new building more up-to-date, energy efficient, and designed to respond the new digital needs of the company. Fastweb will occupy more than 16,000 sqm of offices, with an option to let others 3,000 sqm in the same building. Based on an updated building permit to be obtained by October 2016, the delivery of the building to Fastweb is planned for October 2018 with a lease expiry in March 2029.
Symbiosis is located south of the historic center (2 km from the Duomo), ideally located at a short drive to Linate airport (essential hub for business), and directly opposite the new Prada Foundation, which represents one of the leading cultural projects in Milan and also close to the South Park and the Bocconi University.
The project carried out by the architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners radically upgrades this upcoming area between Via Gargano and via Adamello, with an exclusive landscaped urban garden. The location fits to innovative companies that are equally careful to productivity, well-being and sustainability values.
Symbiosis is not only an engineering project but it’s an integrated green project and an architectural complex where offices, green areas and multifunctional spaces coexist to optimize the quality of work and improve the quality of life and illustrate the future of Milan. Symboisis area is part of European Sharing Cities project. The Municipality of Milano decided to transform the area in a smart and green district.
This 19.000 sqm office building will be the first building to be developed in the Symbiosis area and it represents a milestone to modernize this part of Milan. It will be also the largest building of all those planned in this area (around 20% of total office GLA).
The façade of the new building generates a reflective glass front to the north overlooking the square that expresses a complete opening of the building towards the latter.
As part of a sustainable development approach, the project targets a LEED Core & Shell Gold Certification, a BRAVE AAA certification and will be CENED energy class A.
In this building Beni Stabili will demonstrate the Smart Working concept it has created, concept that combines cutting edge design, building innovation and a richful experience for the users (common areas, outside spaces
).
With this partnership Beni Stabili and Fastweb share the approach based on quality, innovation, social responsibility.
