Top ranked in a survey by J.D. Power and Associates
Milan, 15th December 2006 - FASTWEB (Milano, MTAX: FWB) has been awarded the top position among Italian broadband providers in a survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates.
With a final score of 709 points over 1,000, FASTWEB came first in two out of three categories under scrutiny: client service and technical support.
Tiscali ranked number two with 633 points, being recognised as the cost leader among Italian players.
The survey has also analysed the key trends of the market that is evolving faster and faster: almost one fourth of broadband customers (24%) has changed provider over the past 12 months and 23% declared to be prepared to do so in future months.
Customers spend on average 33.7 Euro a months for broadband services. Price is identified as the key driver in the decision to change operator.
Moreover, the survey has highlighted that Italian broadband users spend approximately 30 hours a month surfing the net. FASTWEB's customers are the heaviest user with an average of 32 hours.
