AMGA-FASTWEB GROUP: Genoa Cabling Project moves ahead

Work is proceeding rapidly on the FastWeb cabling project of Genoa to extend delivery of revolutionary broadband services for integrated voice, data and video transmission and high-speed Internet access to users in the area. After four months of work, approximately 60 km of infrastructure have been laid, using the existing subsoil power and gas networks and employing non-invasive technologies to avoid disruption. Cabling will rise to 250 km by the end of June 2001, six months ahead of schedule.

Metroweb reaches cabling agreement with the Municipality of Sesto San Giovanni

The Municipality of Sesto San Giovanni this morning signed an agreement with Metroweb providing for the cabling of the entire local territory. Work to commence by the end of February 2001. Innovative technology aids the transition of the area from an industrial to a services culture.

e.Biscom, a leading Italian developer and operator of telecommunications, Internet and media-related services, today announced better-than-expected, full-year 2000 consolidated revenues of Euro 42.4 million. As e.Biscom started commercial operations just last spring, there is no year-comparable figure.
